Notes:
Song 11 is the classic "Runaway" by Del Shannon.
There is a line in Song 12: “Do you hear Del Shannon's "Runaway" playing on transistor radio waves?”
At an interview in the late 90s, Steven Page and Ed Robertson both talked about When You Dream: ”Steve was watching his 2 day old son sleep and saw his eyelids flutter and realized that he was in REM sleep and probably dreaming. Then he started wondering - what can a baby, with no life experience yet, dream about? He can't really see properly yet - so is he just seeing shapes or memories from the womb?
There are theories that babies are born knowing everything but by the time they can communicate that, they've forgotten everything - so maybe his dreams are complicated? Basically, what goes on in the minds of babies before they can communicate?”
Ed went on talking about how they started the song as a lullaby and then added lots of noises to make it sound dreamy.
