Melissa Etheridge and her ex-partner, Julie Cypher, had two children via sperms donoted by David Crosby. David Crosby, of course, was one of the Byrds.

In an interview in 2005, Etheridge said she and actress Tammy Lynn Michaels, who held a commitment ceremony in September 2003, are considering having a baby. She said, "We won't be using my friend, .......David has been there and done that."
