V2 - Connection 18 & 19

In Volume 1, no one got the connection between Rod Stewart's "Girl From The North Country" and The Pretenders' "Forever Young" - they are both originally by Bob Dylan. So, there is this easy connection between Songs 18 & 19 - and everyone got it!!!

V2 - Connection 14 & 15

Song Artist Connection To The Next Song
14 – Thunder Road Bruce Springsteen Roy Orbison
15 - Only The Lonely Roy Orbison -

The vocal sound of Springsteen's Thunder Road was inspired by Roy Orbison. Springsteen pays homage to him with the line: "The radio plays Roy Orbison singing for the lonely," a reference to Orbison's 1960 hit, "Only The Lonely."

(But Springsteen was never a member of the Traveling Wilburys.)

V2 - Connection 8 & 9

Nivirna is referenced in 1985 (most probably a good trivia in future years to come: "Who sings the one-hit wonder 1985?").

Song Artist Connection To The Next Song
8 – Smell like Teen Spirits Nivirna Nivirna
9 - 1985 Bowling For Soup -

In his pre-Courtney Love days, Cobain went out with Bikini Kill drummer Tobi Vail. Kathleen Hanna, the lead singer of Bikini Kill, gave Cobain the idea for the title when she spray painted "Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit" on his bedroom wall after a night of drinking. Vail wore Teen Spirit deodorant, and Hanna was implying that Cobain was marked with her scent.

There was a submission on Song 8 - Smell like Team Spirits! No point was granted on that trial.
