Three is a Magic Number

Blind Melon sings:

"Three is a magic number
Somewhere in the ancient mystic trinity
You get three, it's a magic number
The past, the present, and the future
Faith, hope, and charity
The mind, the heart, and body
Give you three, it's a magic number
.....................
It was three times the lie was told
And the three times the rooster crowed
It took three nails to kill the King
And in three days He rose again!"

This is Deep!

Another proposed 'connection' by Mare/Fi: Passage through Life/Love

Track 1: "In your arms, I feel so safe and so secure" (a new-born baby)

Track 2: "Slowly learning that life is okay." (the kid growing up)

Track 3: "Becoming who we are."

Track 4: "Where were they going without ever knowing the way."

Track 5: "Found a place, didn't look half bad."

Track 6: "I strut my stuff, let me gp one" (all about me phase - no responsibilities).

Track 7: "Wrapped around my finger" (gold ring; marriage)

Track 8: "I've been waiting so long, to be where we're going" (newleywed bliss)

Track 9: "Stop! Before you break my heart" (things are going wrong - affair)

Track 10: "In the desert you can't remember your name, ain't no one for to give you no pain" (cast adrift)

Track 11: "Been up, down, been around, love take me downtown, looking for some touch (sic)" (searching, visiting prostitutes, on a quest)

Track 12: "I've been 'fraid of changing 'cause I built my life around you."

Track 13: "Mold a new reality closer to the heart" (what things are important in life are within you).

Track 14: "Open all the doors and let you out into the world" (coming to an end)

Track 15: "Just a song before I go, a lesson to be learned" (farewell letter)

This is a lot of work. Thanks for the excellent proposal! It almost can be the 'connection' except that, for example:

Track 14: It's actually not about closing time or coming to an end. It's the opposite! The song was written about when the lead singer was waiting for his first child to be born. When it was written it was meant to be one big smile to waiting for a child to be born.

Track 7: For most of this song, the singer is under the control of the woman who dominates him. At the end however, he figures her out and turns the tables. The chorus changes from "I'll be wrapped around your finger" to "You'll be wrapped around my finger."

Track 11: No they are not looking for some 'touch'!
